What can I expect?

 

HOW IS THE SERVICE STRUCTURED?

 

Services begin with MCC band leading the church in worship- song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable.  After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

 

 

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT MCC?

 

Sunday's at Myanmar Christian Church are exciting, casual, and relaxed.  Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guests.

 

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

 

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at MCC Kids, we make this a priority.  The other thing we make a priority is your children's safety. Because of that we have trained caretakers for the children and positioned security outside. MCC Kids are offered for kids ages infant through Grade 8.

 

I DON'T SPEAK BURMESE. WILL I JUST BE SITTING THERE?

 

No.  Majority of our young adults speak English only. We have a dedicated translator who will speak into the ear pieces of those who need translation during our main Sunday service.  Translator receiver devices can be picked up at the Sound/Video booth at beginning of church or when the digital screen prompter reminds you on the screen. We also encourage you to join us for Saturday Youth and Young Adult Nights which is all English.

 

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

 

No. You can wear a suit and tie or t-shirt and jeans. Please do not wear anything revealing though.

 

AM I EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN OFFERING?

 

No. We don't invite you to Myanmar Christian Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to the Lord and to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

 

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED BY THE BAND?

 

We will be playing modern and classical Worship songs in Burmese and in English. Song/lyrics will be displayed on the screen projector so you can sing along and/or engage in worship.
